Nuremberg

Art Director · p.d. Eve Stewart · supervising a.d. Lázár Tibor

The Grand Hotel ballroom with its own stage, bar and balcony; the press corridor outside the courtroom; the Tennessee Diner; Jackson's office; the Pentagon room; the countryside, and the locations around them. Found and converted — rooms stripped, panelled and re-dressed, with custom furniture and a divider wall built to carry the period wherever the architecture couldn't.

Mariana's Room

Art Director · p.d. Yvett Rotcheid

A complete village built where nothing stood — three working houses, the main interior dressed as a brothel — designed and built as the sole art director. Two weeks into the shoot the scale of it took over and three art directors came in to carry what had been one department. A second set went up inside a derelict building on transport walls, which is what made five weeks of interior shooting possible there. Emmanuel Finkiel's feature, with Mélanie Thierry, premiered at the Berlinale.

The Good Ship Murder

Production Designer · Channel 5, Clapperboard

Five months in Malta, with every episode set in a different country and every one of them rebuilt on the same island — a Medina market, Casablanca staged inside a thirty-metre derelict arcade. The hardest sourcing problem of the ten years.

Berlin Blues

Production Designer · Israeli series

Berlin, made in Budapest. A mix of locations across the city, interiors and exteriors both — found, dressed and matched until they read as one German city. A contemporary world built to feel lived-in rather than designed, and to hold up across many episodes and many rooms.
